Electronic Databases
Electronic Databases
Don't forget to consult electronic databases not only with your college preparation research, but with future research and information needs. Using your library card, you will be able to access some very useful electronic databases. You can access these databases from your home computer, using your Kenton County Public Library card. At the main webpage, position your mouse over the "Research and Homework" tab-from the drop down menu, click on "Databases" to see a full list of all available databases. When you click on a particular database, you will need to enter your library card number (the full number under the barcode on the back of your KCPL card) to access it from you home computer.
Learning Express Library
his extremely useful test preparation database will allow you to take practice tests on the various components of the ACT and SAT tests. After gaining remote access to the database using your KCPL library card (as detailed on page 5 of this report), you can create a log in on the Learning Express Library which will allow you to exit a test before completing it and return to it at a more convenient time. Immediate scoring and detail answer explanations provide immediate feedback on your performances.
