Armour, Walter 'Gene'

A long-time Bromley resident and civic leader, Armour was born on June 7, 1912. He was married to Elnora Haberle Armour. The couple had no children.
Amour served as term as Bromley Police Judge. He was also very active in the Bromley Volunteer Fire Department. Armour served as Chief of the department from 1951-1957. Later in life he served as the chief doorkeeper of the Kentucky General Assembly.
Armour was a member of the Bromley Auxiliary Police Department, the Bromley Christian Church and the Bromley Veterans. He served in the army during the Second World War.

Walter 'Gene' Armour died in Fort Thomas on June 13, 1999 at the age of 87. He was survived by his widow. Services were held at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home in Ludlow with burial at Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell.
